I am thankful for games! Games are a great resource to teach students, of any age (in my opinion), bond with family and friends. I have had some of the best times of my life while playing games with people. When I say games, I mean board games, card games, classroom games, video games or whatever.
So last night while the ice/snow storm was raging outside, inside a few of us friends got together to play, The World of Munchkin. This game totally mocks Dungeons and Dragons, but it was SO fun!
A lil description from the page, "Munchkin is the mega-hit card game about dungeon adventure . . . with none of that stupid roleplaying stuff. You and your friends compete to kill monsters and grab magic items. And what magic items! Don the Horny Helmet and the Boots of Butt-Kicking. Wield the Staff of Napalm . . . or maybe the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. Start by slaughtering the Potted Plant and the Drooling Slime, and work your way up to the Plutonium Dragon . . ." (http://www.worldofmunchkin.com/game/)
So go on, play a game!
Oh my goodness! I am SO going to check that out. I love games too, and I'm always looking for something new to play!
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome and hillarious! Like this one: The Broad Sword--only can be used by females!
