Mags

My friend Maggie is leaving Korea in the next few weeks, so she had a going away party at a Reggae Bar in Hondae.  It was pretty awesome and I am going to miss this chica!
Maggie is a really sweet and fantastic woman, I am so glad I got to meet her while I was in Korea!  Plus share in crazy Songu-ri times together!
Luv you Mags!

Amber Teacher's Board

This is my student that lived in America for about 2 years.
Can you feel the love?
Yeah, and he is adding horns. . .I love my kiddies!
Taeji left this on my board, I have no idea, I just thought it was funny!

The Dog Cafe

That's right, one of many things I wanted to accomplish before leaving was going to the dog cafe in Hondae.  Don't judge. . .
You come in, try to find a seat that is not occupied by a human or pup, order a drink then proceed to get your puppy luvin fill.  I think there were probably 15 dogs  of varying breeds wandering around the cafe.

This little one, came and crawled into my lap. How could you resist that?  It's impossible, I assure you!
BOLT!  He wouldn't have anything to do with us until the treats came out. . .what a surprise.

I think there were about 6 of this breed in the cafe that all traveled in a pack together around the cafe.
Just too much excitement from everything. . .

This was my favorite dog in the whole cafe!  He was SO funny!  He would lay out on the floor, waiting for a little one to walk by him then jump and tackle a dog twice as small as him.  The rest of the dogs in the cafe would then run over, barking and try to help out the little one.  While this furball was slipping and sliding on the floor.  Too funny!

63 Builidng

The red heads (Corinna and Jessica) and myself decided that Saturday was the perfect day to go to the 63 building. The 63 building is located next to the Han River and it's an AWESOME view of Seoul. I still can not believe that I am living here at times, especially when I can see just how much of Seoul there really is.

This link is for my friend Corinna's blog about our trip as well:   http://sixfeetoffire.blogspot.com/2010/09/view.html

Cindy

Cindy
Our great Cindy will be leaving Korea and myself this week to go back to the motherland of the good ol' USA.  So to send her off properly, we decided to go noreabanging (karoake-Korean style) and go clubbin in Seoul.

Well at least Cindy looks FAB!
Yeah, we're friends
Cindy don't leave me!

Hair!

Went to go get my hair trimmed yesterday since it had grown out into a mess on my head.  I went to my usual hair salon in Songuri with my Korean buddy, JinMyeong.  However, the man that owns the shop decided he wanted to cut the foriegners hair that day and not my usual stylist.  Okay fine, my Korean friend explained I wanted it just trimmed and the same style I had before.
When he finished it came out pretty short with the front flipped out like so.  I was not very happy when I left the salon to be honest because all I could think of was, I look like this....
However, this was the finished product after a night of playing with it and showing a few of my buddies, I think I like!

Typhoon Kompasu

Well, this is not the first typhoon I have experianced while in Asia however more people seemed more worried about it than the others.  So far all the typhoon has done where I live is rain a whole lot and be extremely windy.  My little apartment house was shaking this morning.

The 7th typhoon of the year, Kompasu is advancing from Japan is likely to affect Korea, the Korea Meteorological Administration said Monday. Strong winds and waves are expected in southern Jeju on Wednesday.

Kompasu, Japanese for compass, is expected to advance northward along the west coast and in the worst case pass through the heavily populated Seoul metropolitan area. The KMA said Kompasu formed south of Okinawa on Sunday evening and will arrive 440 kilometer southwest of Seogwipo, Jeju, on Wednesday evening.
